Case study

Freebridge Community Housing – Consumer regulation board training

Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of social housing in West Norfolk, with almost 7,000 homes.

Objective

DTP were asked to draft and present a presentation to Freebridge Board members to help support their understanding of the recent Regulator of Social Housing’s consumer regulatory changes and associated legislation, including the emerging approach to the Consumer Standards.

What we did

DTP delivered two virtual training sessions for Board members. Throughout the presentation, there were opportunities to engage and ask questions. These were summarised in a FAQ document which was shared with all Board members.

What was achieved

We were able to support Freebridge Board members in their understanding of their roles and responsibilities in relation to the consumer regulatory changes.

We appreciated the training provided by DTP; it was relevant to what was happening in the sector at that time and included emerging good practice. The training was timed appropriately and helped assure our Board members that they fully understood their roles and responsibilities in relation to supporting Freebridge to be complaint with the Consumer Standards.
