Together Housing Group – Governance review

Together Housing Group (THG) is one of the leading social landlords in the North of England, managing and letting more than 36,000 homes.

Objective

To undertake an independent and robust external review of governance effectiveness across the legal and governance structure of THG.

What we did

Our key tasks were:

• Reviewed a range of governance documentation
• Observed a series of meetings across the governance structure
• Spoke with all non-executive members and the executive team
• Produced an evidence-based report
• Provided advice and guidance in the form of briefings and discussions on governance readiness for regulatory inspection

What we achieved

We found THG’s governance to be effective and there were robust supporting processes which provided for sound oversight and assurance.  We used our findings and analysis to produce a report which validated these matters of positive governance and made evidence-based recommendations for any change and improvement.
