Karbon Homes – Brixx Implementation and Ongoing Advice and Support

Karbon Homes is a housing group with over 34,000 homes across the North-East and Yorkshire.

Objective

Karbon Homes had identified the need to move to a new financial forecasting software system, Housing Brixx, which would enable robust financial planning across the Group and support the effective completion of their regulatory Financial Forecast Return (FFR).  

What we did

DTP are experts in operating the Brixx Software system and host the system independently for a range of clients. We were asked to support Karbon to both implement and embed the new system and to provide additional advice and support on an ongoing basis.

We held a three-day workshop at Karbon Homes’ office, which involved delivering a Brixx training session for all involved officers, setting out the implementation process and beginning the transfer of data used in the previous Abovo model to the new Brixx system.  During the workshop, 90% of data was inputted with the remainder entered working with the team online. DTP were asked to provide ongoing support on a 12-month ‘retainer’ basis to support the team moving towards the completion of the FFR and beyond. This work involves general support to the team and assistance with any further changes required to the system.
